Has anyone ever seen a designator "TH1"?? I am replaceing a component on a Fuji CP-6 MX100 PLC. It looks like a gray cap, but the designator is TH and it has a resistor symbol under the part. Markings on the part are:

S 22007 A J

Chris, The part is a thermistor. Have you determined the extent of the damage yet to the CP6?

Greg, You guys are right, it was a thermistor. I believe the machine was powered up with the wrong voltage. Here is what gets damaged if the transformer is tapped for 230 and you apply 480:

1. Both CPU modules on the MX100 PLC's blown. 2. Both color monitors blown. 3. Y-axis servo amp blown 4. MOV (metal oxide varistor) on noise filter blown.

I got very lucky on this and was able to repair without buying parts. Both Plc's had a blown thermistor and 2 blown diode's. I replaced the bad components and PLC's are now working. MOV's were easy to replace. I really got lucky on the Y amp. I took it apart and found a bad resistor where the incoming AC gets distributed. Replaced the resistor and now the amp is good. I do need 2 new monitors. I don't want to attemp to fix those.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Chris,

About 18 months ago I bought a LCD replacement monitor for our GP-341. It was easy to put in and cheaper than a new factory monitor. It's still working well for us and would recommend it to you. We got it from IBE. They advertise here so you can contact if you are interested.

Chris, Go to IBE and get the LCD monitors. The kit fits the CP6 and the resolution is much better that tne factory ones.
