Could anyone recommend any companies who manufacture counters for reeled components. Anyone who has any info on the accuracy and reliability of these systems and if there are any alternatives to the usual systems? Cheers.

Damian,

I have used the Schleuniger, Inc. CC-15 components counter. This is a hand crank operated instruments that counts the holes in the carrier tape. It is simple to operate and set up. We have found the accuracy to be upwards of 98% providing that the operator does not rush the job. This is the only Tape and Reel components counter I have ever used so I have nothing to guage it against.

Hope this Helps

I have used the PC-2500 from V-TEK and have encountered no problems. It has a motorised reel handling system and can handle various tape pitches and reel sizes. It has an accuracy in excess of 99%.Check out their website below.
