CEMCO Uk have done testing using SACX0307, SAC305 and Sn/Cu/Ni. The copper dissolution tests (report available) conducted at CEMCO showed that the lowest copper erosion rate was achieved by SACX0307. Regards Gerry

Hi Jerry, Thanks for the info - it's very helpful. I'm assuming (as it carefully refrains from saying it anywhere!) that SAXC0307 is Sn99/Cu0.7/Ag0.3. Cheers, Rob.

Is there any benchmarking / report available on the industry regarding to the application of leadfree solder Sn(99%)/Ag(0.3%)/Cu(0.7%) e.g. Alpha Metals SACX0307 compared to SAC305? Thanks! Daniel

Of course it is needless to say the performance of SACX0307 is worse than SAC305, and also to some other lead free solders,eg SN100C & SCS7.

Hello AJ, The previous answers are correct; Sn has seen a spike in price ever since RoHs was implemented. Furthermore, the other alloys that have been used to replace Pb (because of RoHs) have also seen an increase in price. Sadly these material rep

Sorry Bert For some reason I'm not getting the Email notifications so appologies never saw the reply. The mettalic antidrossing agent reduces the dross to levels of est. 50% less than compared to 63/37 alloy. When used with SACP/0307 alloy and SACP/
