Hi We found the misalignment sometime during SMT 0402chips. So, we made the pick up speed a bit slower then the condition was better however it was time-consuming and delay shipment. We r using Yamaha 100Xg SMT M/C and no probelm in mounting 0602 o

It looks like a nozzle size issue. Make sure you have the right nozzle size for the part as well as the right feeder.I think that if the machine takes the parts from the feeders, it can't be feeder problem. Usually parts will jump out of the feeder

Your process needs some refining. How long did it take to wet? How much force did it take to break the surface tension? What type of solder was in the solder pot? What type of flux was used? What was the pot temperature? Did you take a cap and p

It depends ... * Components stored in a garage in Chiriqui,Panama will have a different shelf life than those store in a climate controlled room in Ayrshire, Scotland. * Components from a reputable supplier will likely have a different shelf life tha

Hi.. Recently, I have received a few reels of 0402 with an old date code ( but still less than 2 years old).I don't have a capability in-house to carry out the solderability test except for the dipping test ( dip the components in the molten solder

Hi Cal/Dave F, Good news today. The problem went away when I received and ran with a brand new component today. But I'm sure with a robust profile, I should be able to compensate oxidations at some degrees, rite? ( taking into consideration the suc

Awww, don beso tuff on ursef!!! It sounds like youre thinking correctly with what youve done, but its possible that the test you ran did not represent your actual production environment as well as you would have liked. So, you just need to "cran

The Universal chipshooter (Sanyo) has automatic X-Y pick-up correction as standard. Are the upside-down resistors an issue for inspection purposes? Do you use AOI? Can you really read markings on 0402 resistors?

Greg, you pointed out yourself the many advantages of bulk feeding. I would like to mention that the higher component accuracy and the feeding track accuracy of the bulk feeder contribute to an improved pick failure rate of small ( 0402s ) component

Has anyone actually seen 0402 or 0201 part with the value on it? I haven't. So what would be the big deal if these parts are placed upside down. The only difference I have noticed is usually on a resistor one side is black and the other is white an
