| | Okay, I would like to hear everyones ideas for PD naming conventions for FUJI. We are trying to use your basic names "3216_CAP" to a "MQFP208AD" But it is way out of control. Different part sizes, and vendors make it very tough to keep it all

Yes, and while it did, its been around longer than we have had any sort of process engineers. While the package naming scheme, or lack there of, is a mess. I am mostly curious if there is any other identifiers or naming conventions besides specific m

Pretty new SMT process engineer here. Context: we are using a MyData100 and using MYcenter software with it. Most package naming conventions only define outer area/foot print dimensions. However, I do not know of any convention for further package de

Your Mydata should have come with a myriad of preprogrammed packages, specifying height (ex. 0805-05, 0805 components with height of 0.5mm).

Attached is a good starting point. We also have Mydata and have had many different people providing names. Some used standard units, other metric. Try to stick with all metric and use prefixes that match up with the component type and pin count if

Just make more specific shapes/packages for these size parts and decide on a naming convention that's easy to decipher then stick with it.

Everybody who uses basic "part-type" naming conventions for machine package codes will have this same issue unless restrictions are placed on who, how, and when the package codes can be altered. Some alternative methods to solving this problem: 1. U

I agree with this post about new and standard component names. Standard components should not be changed outside of perhaps widening the tolerance to accept poorly produced components. By purchasing poor quality/cheep components your purchasing depar

From what I have seen of the Omron software your most interesting challenge and prerequisite for a clean and complete inspection is a full understanding of the color triangle and it's settings. I know you can find almost the same interface/GUI in the

Does anybody know of any document(s) that define the different package types such as SOP, SOIC, VSOP, TSOP,TSSOP, QSOP, LQFP, VQFP, etc...? I am re-doing our component library and would like to use industry names for each component type. Thanks Rus
