0.031" radius is a diameter of 0.062" which is very tight (small) for a rounded corner. I would tend to agree with the board house that is can not be done. 0.031" is a standard thickness of PCB. I think it is very possible that your customer swapp

All, I have a customer requirement for a PCB that has rounded corners with a radius of 0.031". Present brd house says this cannot be met. Any comments?

We think maybe 50 thou would be a more approachable corner radius. Why does your customer want to have radiused corners?

All, Thnx for the replies! The brd thickness is 0.062", hence no confusion there. Have no idea why customer's engineer specd in the 31 thou radius. Asked them but have no definitive answer as yet.

This is an OUTSIDE corner spec or an inside corner spec? If outside, I don't see why it is a problem, but will require programming the router or making a template (if an "old school" shop.) Yes, if an inside corner, then it requires a small router

Hey, go to http://www.uic.com it is the Universal Instruments website. Universal sells HSP 4796 machines. These are actually Sanyo TCM 3000 Machines. We have 4 of them, they are awesome machines. Hope this helps, Curt
