Sasha, A standard RS-232 cable with the proper connectors would work. If you want you can make it. Normally the PC will have a DB-9 theses days so the wiring would be PC Machine DB-9 DB-25 2------2 3------3 5------7 Good

We have an older MPM SPM machine, circa 2001 that is having a hard time reading the PC hard drive. Worked fine until yesterday. We are looking for a software install package for it or, preferably, a PC with the software on it.

Hi everyone, I am trying to evaluate the cost of buying new equipment. One of the concerns is blade holders, stencil frames and board vacuum tooling. How difficult is to change from Dek to MPM or viceversa without changing all our tooling.

We use both The pin placement works fine for the mpm. If its a dense board you have to to some double checking on the initial set up. On the dek we use Grid lock. For us its toss up which is better they both work.

Thanks all for the input. We've been to both DEK and MpM for demos and seen the grid-loc in action. Think we'll probably go with that along with our h-towers and dedicated tooling.
