300 million boards to date). I also have some reliability data for joints made with these 2 alloys wave soldered and then repaired with both. All of these results look good. The issue we see is mixing SN63 with any of the lead free alloys. Sn63 wave

How about this scenario: Need to rework a BGA on a 2 year old board. Originally the board was assembled with Sn63/Pb37 and the BGA has eutectic spheres. Now this package only comes with lead free balls. I believe that the board finish is not idea

Hello All, I recently had a case of excessive tin coming from a solder pot sample. The solder is SN63 but the results of testing had a 64.97% for Sn. The J-STD-001 spec is 61.5% to 64.5%. The pot is used to pre-tin wires which will then be solder

had a quick question regarding compatibility of Sn100C HASL finish and regular Sn63 solder paste. Does the thermal profile have to reach Sn100C eutectic temps. in order for the Sn 100C HASL to coaelesce with the Sn63 Solder paste? How reliable is t

In switching to lead free processing, we find ourselves having over 400 PCB part numbers with Sn63 HASL finish. And there is no hope of quickly purging inventory and getting our drawings changed to call out a lead free finish. I want to avoid having

I need information on where I can purchase Lead free solder paste and solder wire samples. I currently use SN63/PB37 no clean solder paste in a 35G tube and SN63/PB37 no clean solder wire for rework. I would like to try out some samples of Lead fr
