Green vs Blue Soldermask

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 03 09:00:52 EDT 1998 | James Horn

Can any one tell me if there is a large difference between green soldermask and blue soldermask, in reference to sending the board through the IR reflow oven. - two PCB's (smc parts) are manufactured, the first has green soldermask, the second blue s

Hello to everyone, Have you ever experienced soldermask bubbles inmediately after printed the soldermask itself? (for screen printing method of LPISM). I am not talking here about blistering or any outgassing defects after exposing to high temperatu

We have a 1.6 mm thick automotive PCB board of size 35x70mm. One of our vendor has given us a batch with lesser soldermask thickness 5~8 microns. Will this affect the circuit board on a long term. What should be standard for the soldermask thickness?

We also have a Foresite C3 for spot testing for ionic contamination. I didn't use it at this spot, but used it some other spots around the PCB that showed this color change and with our C3 we were passing IPC standard for ionics. But I was wonderin

Sorry. I actually should clarify those slides. Black pad is not associated with tented vias. Also, you can tent vias with soldermask, but this requires the immersion gold process to be completed prior to soldermask. As such, all copper features (
