Wipe down and clean the 2 Gold strips on Y Axis and the encoder ( located on both sides of the machines covers must be removed ) Probably has dirt happen to someone who had an old universal 2007 that was sitting outside in the open air for a few day

We checked the three pacsci pc800 servo controllers and they all look OK, no red or error lights. VRM amps all look OK. Still haven't found the issue.

I did clean the gold strip and black encoder box pretty good it took me a few trys but it work ( it did had rust on the machine from the rain I guess... from being out side for awhile)

We were able to get the machine to zero after 'scrubbing' the encoder head. We used a piece of paper towel and IPA and slipped it between the head and the scale. We moved it back and forth a few times to clean the head then blew out any remaining dus

Since you haven't received any useful advise I will throw my 2 cents in. I do not know this machine but in general what you describe is an axis that does not get it's home pulse in time. Many machines will have an in-range sensor that gets flagged
