We got plenty of 16mmX12mm GSM1 Tape feeders that are not in use and we are short of 16mmX8mm Tape feeders. Is there a way to convert these 16mmX12mm into 16mmX8mm ? Thanks and Regards,

What are ghost feeders? I've been creating a feeder for each slot and teaching each one individually before running a job. eg. Using an 8mm tape in slot 20 = "8mm Tapeslot20" or 12mm tape in slot 56 = "12mm Tapeslot56"

I am looking at a Universal Instrument Machine that accepts 24V/42V feeders. What is the benefit of the newer feeders? Which ones are more reliable for 8mm? Why are they so expensive? Pneumatic Yamaha run $50 new from china.

Our experience has been similar to yours. Not the best placements rates for 0603 caps. I can't tell you an exact reject rate on our machines. We program them as leaded components which seems to help a lot. Also, not using gang picks is best. You
