With the low volume and low parts mix Quad 100's, Quad IIIC"s or Quad IVC's would be a low cost method of placement. As for ovens most any 5 to 7 zone oven will work for you. Thanks,

We use a maestro to cut apart our boards at the score line. Details on this equipment at http://www.cabtechn.com/ We are currently using this in our prototype lab and production facilities, where we cut the scored boards at rates of 100's per hour.

When you place 100's of 0603's and don't want to spend the $$ on re-work. Spending an extra bit of cash on nozzles looks pretty attractive. Besides I'm placing 0603's close enough together that the 08 won't work. D

I have several QFP-100's that I need to rework. Obviously this is going to be tricky with the component having a pitch of 0.5mm. Could somebody offer some suggestions for a decent, yet cost effective, rework station?

There was a company in Canada that used to buy Quad 100s and make them into custom machines. Does anybody know who they are? I have 2 that have been sitting as backups for a few years. It's time to clean house... Thanks, Jon

Just wait. Someone here is throwing 100s of them away every week. Sooner or later they will connect and ask for your address and want to know if they could send you a monthly consignment of a hundred or so tubes.
