We do have 2 types of PCBs - 360 * 505 mm 2.22 mm thick, 14000 components in total. These go in satellite communication matrixes.

what are advantages and disadvantages of the 2 type of printers against each other. And how to justify that an in-line is more profitable in the end than a semi-auto. fyi and regards,

Based on the attchment it looks like both are low profile and cater for high IO point. What are the challenges in running this 2 type of component? Is there any additional process required other than normal SMT for these 2 packages, like underfill ?

I've seen 2 types from China, one type was an amazing copy (Fuji supplier's factory back door possibly?) and the other was a cheap copy. The cheap copy was adequately functional, but I wouldn't want to bet on it's long term life.

Sorry for the miss-understanding - there are at least 2 types of MSD cards - reversible & non reversible. We use the non-reversible type. Once exposed they record the max humidity through a one way chemical reaction.

Hi Doug Nice idea (2 type paste), I will have a trial. We think of glue and tape too, but it involve cost, but we still keep as an option. thanks.

EMIL, The first stencil was with 4 squares. then there was a worse percentage. Changed to the circles. Is better, but still not perfect. Stencil thickness did not change. I added 2 types of stencil openings. Pictures of watch:

No worries. From memory you could get 2 types of head - 1 where you had grippers and the other where the head held the whole panel. We had interchangeable grippers. Also had some Cencorp 1000 & 1300BRs which were ok, but not sure on Global support

1) For solder short, pls check the paste height. Too much vol will cause short. For 15 mils use 5 mils thickness stencil if possible. Check profile preheat time to prevent hot slumpof the paste. 2) type 4 powder will be better for 15 mils pit

From my understanding paste on BGA pads are applied only to help in holding the component as the PCB is conveyed during the manufacturing process then soldered. But during rework on BGA's do I have to apply Solder Paste or just Flux? What's the diffe
