Thickness of solder paste from stencil

We measure the thickness of solder paste printed onto PCBs as a control of the printing process. Generally 6 thou stencils are used and give between 6.2 and 6.8 thou. What thicknesses do other users get? Cheers! Mark

A micron is 1 millionth of a meter, this term is no longer used according to my dictionary. I would have to agree with the dictionary. Anyway, 175 microns is a little more than 6.8 mils. Russ

Squeege speeds can vary from .5 in/min to 6-8 in/min. It really depends on what the prints look like. For ultra fine pitch I usually start at .8 in/min and take it from there.
