Have you ever tried using a vision system for measuring the part placement accuracy and then clacualting the Cpk's from these results, or do you strictly use the machine vision itself? My concern with using the machine vision is that it it is biased

thats the problem with numbers... how accurate are they anyway? Can someone tell me how to collect data and assure me that its not someones biased opinion?

The machine is intentionally leaving them off because its feeling an age bias? Or decides to drop them after vision on the way to placement, or...? What's the root cause? Just curious...

we actually make AOI systems so I'm biased, but it really depends on what problems you have (or think you have). Systems like Scanning systems tend to be lower cost and have some physical limits but will not do as much asan inline system with camera'

The most economical way is to look at each others web site and look at the co's that have pre-registered and the booth #'s they are registered to. This would be a non bias approach. This would allow you the opportunity to see if the co's that interes
