revola, Yes you can as long as you have a type 4 or 7 line scan camera fitted(type 7 is best as improved lighting), Front or Rear loading is not important, Snr tech is right, lighting isn't great with this machine but the camera is the same as fitted

The other thing you could do is fit the cameras with a catseye lens. With my way all the data says the same apart from the fid diameter/shape and logic off/on. Just as accurate as any other method, a lot cheaper - cost = 1 drill, less nerve racking

In case of pure pattern recognition, i agree with your view. However, the basic functionality of the fiducial is determine any positional offset of the PCB and provide necessary data for correction during the intended operation such as Paste printing
