Thermal Profiler Shield

Found the aramid fabric (Kevlar) on the website you suggested. Which thickness Aramid-and-Fiberglass Sheeting should I get, do I need to buy a strip as well to protect up to 600F? I was going to use PTFE-Coated Fiberglass Thread as it is rated up to

Does anyone have any data pertaining to contaminates baking out of a fiberglass resin pallets used for processing flex circuits? If so does this phenomena increase over time? Thanks,

Non-Rohs PCB

Fiducials

I have found that lighting for the cam is very important for fiducial recognition. My machine illuminates with a light ring, which isn't so good. However, if I burnish the fiducial with a small fiberglass brush then it works every time.

Goldfinger protection

Yes, We have done away with masking with kapton 8 yrs ago. As long as the goldfingers are leading edge you can use one of these: 1. rubber goldfinger boot/glove - contact east use to carry them...don't know if they still do. 2. fiberglass glove - ma

Cleaning Ceramic Substrates

We currently use an abrasive fiberglass brush to clean the silver oxide off of our substrates proir to asembly. It's messy and tiring. Is there an alternative method, either chemical or mechanical that is cost effective for small (30 to 50ea 6in sq

Fiducial replacements?

Electronics Forum | Sun Jan 06 22:14:57 EST 2008 | mac88

If the machine or machines couldn't recognize the fiducials, you can grind it with a fiberglass eraser. If the fiducial are missing you can use tooling holes, and/or via holes. You can verify the hole size and tolerance on the PCB assembly drawing.

Fiducial Recognition

I clean all fids with a fiberglass brush pencil so that I know there will be no rejects (it doesn't take too long). The problem is the machine lighting. My Essemtec machine uses a light ring (red LEDs) around the cam. Here's one of many documents th

Is NO CLEAN any better for High Speed PCB's?

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 02 06:07:00 EST 2014 | sarason

A trick I used to use doing RF design was to have on the edge of a panel, a stripline that I could hook up to a Network Analyser to check board impedance. You could do this to verify if the fault is in the no wash process or a board manufacture proce

Looking for "carrier" for Reflow

What Is FR4 Substrate Material? FR4, also written as FR-4, is both a name and a standard rating. The name is applied to the fiberglass-reinforced epoxy-laminated sheets used in printed circuit board manufacturing. However, the name also functions as
