Electronics Forum | Thu May 04 02:07:44 EDT 2006 | CW

Hi, There are a couple of Omniflow 7 and 7E that are being used in the production. Recently we found a lot of flux clogging up the exhaust ducts. Anybody who uses the same type of tool who has seen this kind of problem? How can we fix this? Does

Hi Walter, Do you refer to a sprayfluxer operation? The problem seems to be a parameter setting issue. 1. Ensure the wide angle spray reaches PCB with optimum jet pressure. You could pass a glass plate to understand flux coverage and view Jet pressur

Does anyone know of any industry guidelines for the exhausting of volatiles in reflow ovens? I've seen some numbers like 1,000ppm for the oven atmosphere, but is this typical? My concern is the volatiles in my WS629 solder paste may be attacking th

slowing-down the conveyor to allow the solder to heat these balls more. But that may not be the answer, because if the flux is exhausted, more heat will not help. Then if the flux is exhausted, the answer is to crank the belt. Two different answer
