Well, I answered my own question. Here it is for everyone's benefit. The glasses must meet the ANSI Z87.1 standard for safety. So basically, if they are not stamped with Z87.+, then they are not compliant.

No, we do not purchase any prescription glasses. Under the OSHA regs, they simply can't rely on their prescription glasses alone. I have informed the manager and supervisors that everyone must wear the safety glasses over their prescription glasses

I bounced over to Yahoo and they had a couple. Some digital, some the standard glass type. If you go with the glass type, make sure you buy a plastic graduated cylinder to do your measuring in. Glass on glass ends up in one of em breaking!

Leon, Have you tried a piece of glass, deposit some flux onto glass, place the BGA in the glass to flux it, replace BGA and reflow using existing solder deposition ?? Regards, Chris
