High Relative Humidity and Blistering Issues in Assembly

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 18 15:04:25 EDT 2014 | rgduval

Off hand, I can't recall a "formula" for how long boards could sit in a specific RH environment. I've done a couple of quick Google searches, and can find a bunch of information on the dispersion rate of moisture in various PCB materials, but, nothi

Changing Ni/Au finish to HASL lead free

When you say Fine Pitch is this .5mm or is it smaller? I wonder what problems they experienced with HASL, the only problem I recall hearing was the surface was not flat. When applying paste with a stencil I can not see how the flatness is an issue.

Rigid Flex Wave Soldering

Pete, Top-side temp might be an issue. What's the easiest way to check it? I seem to recall some thermal decals that we used to use a couple of jobs ago. I spoke with the flex manufacturer, and they recommended 4 hours at 250 degrees pre-process

Re: Serial Numbering of PCB's (?)

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 03 11:20:15 EST 2000 | John O'Brien

This is getting to be a more common practice, especially with the application of a 2-D bar code directly to the board (via laser, ink jet, etc.) Some really major companies are jumping on the bandwagon because it also allows treating each board as a l
