Hi Nick, It's probably one of two devices - MOC8020 or MOC8021 depending on the CTR (Current transfer ratio). I have always used http://www.icmaster.com for older semiconductor datasheets. (Back in the old days we used to use the IC master data boo

Yep, especially if they are the silicon domed type that mark easy. We gang pick LEDs on our Yamaha kit, getting 12 at a time per side, but we have the luxury and volume of having multiple reels of the same components.

Hi John, We picked up a used laser marker (Asys ALS03) last year for around 30K euros and it has done approx 2M codes (we use 6mm square QR) in the last year without fault - it reads them all back to confirm which is handy. We also use labels, and

@ Sr.Tech, Most of our Chinese spares are Juki & Yamaha original & still bagged, just much cheaper. They wouldn't sell machines in China if all the spares and consumables were at European mark ups. Nozzle wise the Juki 750 & 760 copies are not 100%

Brad We agree with Rob. Even if the fab marks the fids [on both sides] to reduce component attrition, you'd be surprised in the amount of paste that 'disappears' on x-out boards. Do the numbers [follow the money].

A number of years ago in a previous life, we discussed laser marking 2-d matrix codes. We had a number of boards for customers that just were too populated to get any sort of a label onto. 2-D laser units were avaialable to work in line with our au

Ron, I'd agree that that sounds high. Some things that may be contributing to it: Volume. lower build quantity often leads to higher placement costs. NRE. Does this website quote an NRE for solder stencils, machine programming, and reflow profili

Thanks Mark, we're not going to go anywhere with that particular supplier now. Cheers, Rob.

Hi Mark, When we last checked out the laser systems you had to either use a solder preform or apply solder paste to the area, which meant either dispensing or some clever printing. Cheers, Rob.

Hi, I am having some problems with my CP6 placement changing in the Y axis. I had to move all parts by +.12mm this morning. Then after 20 boards the placement shifted too high by about .12 mm The IP stayed the same with the same pcb's and fid coo
