Dear Upinder, While reading the posts at the SMTnet forum I noticed your post pertaining to Curing ovens for use with Conformal Coatings which require regulated relative humidity to activate the cure. My company, ETS, is the manufacturer of Nordson's

Urethane Coating (1A33)

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 27 17:12:34 EDT 2008 | mikesewell

Silicone contamination could appear as fisheyes or dark spots under UV light. 1A33 can be heat cured but is a single component oxygen cure coating - it needs a source of oxygen to cure. An unvented oven may slow or limit the cure. Check out the TDS

Masking tape

We use green painters masking tape. Comes off easy and doesn't leave a residue. The blue colored masking tape works well also but tears too easily. Ours runs through and IR oven to cure the coating after it runs in our PVA650 and we have not seen and

Bubbles in conformal coat

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 10 15:01:28 EDT 2009 | mefloump

I currently spray DOW 2620 with my PVA650 without any problems. I do not thin it but I do have a distance between the coating machine and IR oven to provide a flash off period. I notice bubbles only when the flash off time is too short and the coatin

I don't think THEY (Humiseal) know how their material cures. I have a data sheet from them for 1B73, and it says 24 hours at room temperature or 30 min. @ 170F. We use our in-line oven mainly to dry the material and make it tack-free. You would

Urethane Coating (1A33)

I have a question for the manufacturing masters... We are going to start running test trials/DOE of a Urethane Coating (Humiseal 1A33) and I am not sure what to expect. From what I understand, urethane coating is pretty difficult to work. It is supp

Dear Wayne, ETS is a manufacturer of conveyorized curing ovens for use with conformal coatings. We also happen to be the manufacuturer of the Nordson Ovens which are often integrated into the Select Coat and Century conformal coat lines. I would be h

Help me increase my first pass yields

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 04 11:23:44 EDT 1998 | Frank S

If you could measure and chart 3 variables in my process, what would they be? The boards that I produce are on panels that are 12up and 2x4 up. All boards are single sided paper base w/o plated thru holes. They are on scored panels that measure 7"
