Panasonic offline recognition machine

Does anyone have any experience with the Panasonic offline recognition machine? If so, thoughts? Would you recommend? Pros and cons? We would be using this with NPM W2 machines...and possibly CM402 machines if possible to use with both.

Are you sure it was measuring a fid? Is it possible it was measuring a block-skip mark?

Why not use tooling pins (locating pins)? Sounds like the same accuracy...

Many years ago I remember the Philips CSM series SMT machines used a small tubular laser system for identifying fiducials on the PCB. Can anyone suggest suppliers for these devices. Thanks.

We have one. Great machine but seems to be broken after the current DGS update. We are working on getting the link set back up. Makes it easy to vision in odd components.
