I've had components move in the pocket and cause mis-picks. Generally, the part moves, but settles in the pocket after a moment. So I slowed down the pick up speed. It gave the part in the feeder a chance to settle before picking.

our equipment is Universal GSM1. we can't afford the price of a 44 mm multi pitch feeder from universal that's why we are planning to settle with the fixed pitch feeder. thanks

The size i had changed from 55 x 20 mils to 42 x 20 mils. The component size i have is 40 x 20 mils ( 1mm x 0.5mm ).

AJ, We're using the extenders from Sierra here (www.tapesplice.com). However, I was also in contact with Qtek Manufacturing in Galway, Ireland before settling on Sierra. http://www.qtek.com. I ended up with Sierra for a Stateside solution. cheer
