If I read this correctly you have two identical ovens that were setup the same ie zone temps, fan speeds etc... when you ran the same board through each of them one showed a lower board temp. Is this correct? Is the temp of the board 7 deg. lower t

After selecting a few ovens based on the mfr's specifications, I plan to send them a thermal "slug" to run in their ovens (a 1/4" thick, high temp fiberglass slab with imbedded thermocouples). Since we are replacing ovens with fixed speed blowers wit

We never really use to calibrate the thermocouples on our reflow oven or wave solder systems, but we did disconnect the T/C's and input a calibration standard to check that the computer cards were correctly reading the proper temperature for a given

Maybe here's an opportunity to get a new oven. Electrovert, BTU and Vitronics offer closed-loop N2 control as an option. This, together with other improvements on oven design can reduce N2 consumption by as much as 40%. Not to mention reductions in e

Let's not be hasty about the BTU, the Pyramax consums even more N2 than the Paragon that it replaced by something like another 40%! and the Electrovert aint that much better although it's been a while since I looked at them.

A baking oven over 100 C will be at zero humidity. Do you really need to store pcbs/devices at 200 C...this will surely harm some products ? IPC 33B01 allows storage of MSDs in a dry cabinet at less then 5%.....these can operate at room temp or 40 /

We are using a mixed technology process with mostly through-hole parts plus some SMT IC's on the component side and some passive SMT parts on the solder side. We do not have a proper wave soldering machine for doing solder side SMT (double wave or o
