Just an FYI regarding the 8080 buffers: When you replace the lithium battery in the display module, replace the one in the PLC as well. Of course, you will need the machine turned on when replacing the batteries.

You can source used equipment. Look at the Simplimatic (now Crown Simplimatic) 8080 Fifo/Lifo Buffer. You can get these from many used production equipment dealers. Here's a couple that we have used. Capital Equipment Exchange 2802 Barney Court M
