Kris, Get that high speed camera in there. You have to find out what is happening after the pick point. Also just to throw in another possibility into your cause list. How about static electricty? It can effect such small components. My $ .02

Kris, Try searching the web for the phrase "Lead Conditioning". For some reason "conditioning" is the term used most often as opposed to "straigntening". There are a number of machines out there, most notably those by STI. Chris Fontaine Manufact
