I do apologise, the experiences I have had with Cogiscan is with the "smartclip" clip on reusable RFID tags on components.

Why? All major component manufacturers' reels come with barcodes already on them or if not they (& their distributors) are set up to issue them, requiring no additional work or cost to fit the process, but I don't know of anyone who ships with RFID
