I assume your oven has a "board width" setting for every board and the conveyor width is automatically adjusted as soon as you select the profile/recipe... For the double sided reflow boards, I would set the width 1 inch (or another rounded amount)

Interesting, Gary. Try this: 1 Assess candidate solders by reviewing J-STD-006 (http://canfieldmetals.com/j-std006.htm) to determine solder formulations that have liquidous temperatures in the desired range. 2 Request recommended profiles from supp

Hi Andrea, Another good place to start in addition to the oven manufacturer is your solder paste vendor. They can help you select the correct paste and give you the right reflow profile to use for that paste. Keep in mind that most vendors (paste, s

Same idea but simpler execution. Verify Solder pot temperature. Verify Temperature of Solder as it leaves the nozzle. Verify preheating gets your PWB up to 90C-120C prior to soldering. Check machine speed, verify 4 seconds contact with solder at

yngwie, are you getting a wave from the customer to say it's not your fault you fried the parts? Profiling's one of those things that is a pain to dobut it's one of the most important factors in the assembly processes. I've read and seen instances w

Hi Pavel, Real Chunks, Thanks for your valuable inputs..Selecting the correct location for board profiling is critical in determining the solder joint quality. Am I right to say TC wire attachment locations priority should be as below: (1) Thermal
