Want to buy a benchtop AOI system for my assembly shop. New to this kind equipment. Wondering what brand/Model we should go with. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Hello I have 2 Mirtec MV-7 AOI's and we have never had any problems with the inspection on these machines, in the hardware they are tough, one has been running more that 6 years only with the preventive maintenance and some wearable parts.

I also operate a 3/45. In order to flux from the top, you would need to have another system on top similar to what you already have on the bottom. There just isn't room for all of the required equipment. Who did you contact at ERSA? I have always had

Hi Amy, 183 degrees C if it's 63/37 paste. For wave solder, your guide should be your flux. Follow your flux mfgers suggested pre-heat. Most mfgers go by top side temps. Your wave solder pot temp is determined by your bar solder mfger. The

Hello everyone, I've decided to go with a hot air bench top station for our prototype PCB. I would like to know other vendors besides Zephytronics and Weller's. Please recommend few other vendors that you think I should look into. Thank you in

Have a look at AOI Systems Scanspection AOI. The desk top unit is very affordable, easy to use, and a very effective tool for new users to AOI. Visit http://www.aoisystems.com for more information or send me a PM and I will be happy to talk with yo

I don't do wave soldering but want to see if I understand the question here. Do you want previously soldered component joints melting when you wave a board? I don't think you really want that? Or is it you want to avoid it? Are you talking SMT parts?

There is no "standard" or "procedure". Your customer is putting a requirement on you because this has probably lead to weak QFP solder joints breaking in the field or non-functioning units due to co-planar QFP legs. Ive been there done that. Had

I am going through the process of re-evaluating our AOI systems. Depending on the complexity of your assemblies, I would recommend Mirtec's, and aoi systems as the previous post suggests. Had a demo from them a month or so ago and for the price the

The temperature that will melt solder holding top side SMT components during wave soldering depends on the alloy of that solder. So, for example, you'd expect: * Near eutectic SnPb solder to melt around 215*C. * LF to melt around 240*C. It's common
