Very fishy missing solder paste issue

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 21 02:45:51 EDT 2005 | Base

Probably very far-fetched, but I can think of a scenario like this: - machine picks up a component - between vision and placement the part is lost, but the loss is not detected due to oversize tool, which causes the amount of vacuum drop to go unnot

I would probably try to get my boss to spring for a digital anemometer (air velocity meter) and figure out what my velocity needed to be to get the specified airflow. Then just check it daily before production starts and when it starts to slow down,

Hello Bobpan, Thanks for the response. 1. Function 30 gives me a consistent 182-185, even after nozzle changes. I can vary this by changing mod code 15 and I have been advised to aim for 90-110, but it doesn't seem to make any difference so I've go

You're entirely correct. The gold is most likely gone away. [Don't forget you can check if the surface is still solderable with a hand soldering iron.] We're not sure it it will give you the results you seek, but consider using a dye penetrant fai

Hi folks, I've been bouncing off of MyData technical support for some time on an issue with a MyData machine. Seems that this My9 likes to skip an 0402 placement at a rate of ~ 1000/million. Profile: MyData My9 Mechanical centering Midas only
