Hi all, Anyone familiar with BTU oven VIP-70. The control screen indicates that it is in IDLE mode. The recipe is running, but no heat is applied. The contactor for the heat is ON. All the electrical looks ok. I can't seem to be able to contact BTU,

Sounds similar to a recent problem with our VIP70. We thought it may be the SSR, then the FCU ... Swapping blower unit with a second oven finally helped us traced the problem to the thermoswitch inside the blower assembly.

Have you considered selling the one you have there and buying a used one in N.A.? Might be more efficient. You are on 50Hz, right? I'm 99% sure Mexico is same as us at 60Hz.

Really . . . 40,000 Euro for a new Heller 7 zone oven? Sounds too good to be true. Anyway, if thats the case I would not invest 20K to reapir a 10 year old oven.

You likely will not get 10 years of service out of the Heller and it is certainly not as well built as the VIP-98. If those things do not matter to you and it's all about the money then you sound like the perfect Heller customer.

See now? all this talk here could easily be avoided by using vitronics!! hahahahahaha personally I think Heller and BTU both leave much to be desired. No, I do not work for vitronics OR fastek! hehe

Why just Heller? Is it price? Where are you located? For Reflow Ovens, USED should be a major consideration. www.ietechnology.net
