I have a number of nozzles for an Assembléon AX-201 that have been allowed to become clogged with old, dried-out solder paste. I am thinking of using an ultrasonic tank in an attempt to clean them for re-use, but I am concerned that isopropyl alcoho

The rotation is a fixed parameter..... and of the 9 parts, randomly it will skew the part, could be one or more... I was thinking maybe the solder paste was too dry and during the LIFT after placement it would blow the part sideways.. Yes I am on a

Don't do that! When solder paste dries out, all parts of the flux do not leave. The volatiles leave. Adding new flux messes with the chemistry and %metals and will not perform like new paste. If you can, get your paste in cartridges. It will last lo

At this moment in time we are using water soluble solder paste on our PCBs these are cleaned using water only, agitated with ultrasonics. After drying a white/grey residue is left around solder joints. Reflow profile is fine and a reliable wash proce

Tough to say. It depends on the type of solder mask, the producer of the solder mask, and your board fabricators' process. As one angle on this, solder mask type affects thickness. Minimum clearance: * Liquid photoimageable: 2 thou * Screened liq

Let me clarify we throw out used paste after a week not the whole jar. Jars get used up every other day or so. We don't really have a procedure for used paste on the do's and don'ts so I'm in the process of creating one to avoid people adding flux t

the cause could be moisture in your pcbs. To check it...pass some bare pcbs through your reflow oven (this is a simple way of drying them out a bit), then paste and place and reflow as normal....if solder beads disappear then the pcbs have too much m

SSD can be used on both sides of the pcb. Although , it is not very logical to use it on the bottom side of a pcb that has numrerous Through-hole components, that are to be wave soldered. There are many advantages to SSD. The amount of solder is much
