We are using Universal's Hsc for our production. the problem we are having is we are placing 0402 with a 8mm feeder with a pitch of 2, while running production, the feeder continues to advance with a pitch of 4. anyone have an idea as to why. the com

We have Samsung and havehad no problems with simultaneous pick ups with 201s 0r 402s. the feeders are durable and do not need much repair especially the sm feeders. The SME feeders have not been out as long so we will see so far so good. As with all

It looks like a nozzle size issue. Make sure you have the right nozzle size for the part as well as the right feeder.I think that if the machine takes the parts from the feeders, it can't be feeder problem. Usually parts will jump out of the feeder

Try calling Quad, I know that they were in development of a feeder designed specifically for 0402. The problem has always been the pick of such a small part, but the placement is very reliable. By way, have you heard that Quad is being purchased by

Hello! We placed quite a few of 0402 with our CP3 using 0.7mm nozzle with the same feeder as you had. Pick up can be adjust and calibrated, but that is not the problem, I agreed with you on that part. The trick is you have adjust and play around wi

Picking the 0402 is very important- correct picking will facilitate correct placing. The quality of the feeder is key. I am not familiar with the QSA, but feeder quality is important for all picking 0402 and 0201 components.

Hopefully you dont have a lot of 0402 placements. You must have 'quality' feeder/feeders for the 0402 parts. You then should limit the picking to 1 head for those parts. Do this by assigning only 1 xf nozzle in your program. oh....Straight z-rods wi

I would suggest accepting components only in paper tape. I have had better luck with 0402s in punched paper over plastic embossed tape. You can also pick with oversized nozzles if your vision system does not give you trouble with seeing the nozzle.
