Hopefully someone can share information about x-ray inspection for mid - complex boards. Currently we have installed a couple of 5Dx Stations at our facility at the back end and we want to evaluate moving those stations into outr SMT lines ( off line

Recently on one of my assemblies(sn/pb) I started seeing leaded BGA failure at functinal test for opens, but when I inspected them through 5DX and ERSA Scope it doesnt seem like there is any opens or insufficient and half no. of boards passed functio

I would recommend looking at SAKI/MacroScience. http://www.xraytechnology.eu/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=34&Itemid=42 I have seen the images created by MSX3000 from MacroScience which is now under SAKI and can tell you with certainty
