Charlie, Check: a)That your wave is not too high/powerful as this will push up components due to force exerted by mass of solder b)That your conveyor is set at optimimu height so that a) is not required. If conveyor is too high, then the wave will

Hello once again! I am having a problem with a 24 pin connector bridging on the wave. We use very similar connectors on other PCB with zero problems. This connector bridges in the same place on the same pins. It forms like a little block of four

We have just installed an omega wave to our W/S machine and are tring to W/S some of our bottom side surface mount components. I am still getting skips on some sot 23's. The component lay out meets all IPC 782 guidelines. I have verified these setti

I agree. Trim the leads before insertion, then raise the pot height. With the information given, this is most likely your solution. Our machine has a dam wall on the rear of the solder pot that raises the height on the solder pool. I would make sure

I thought Contact Length refered to the travel distance the board stays in contact with the solder. I measured it using a tempered glass plate that also showed me if I had an even footprint of contact with the wave. By this definition, conveyor spe

What are the lengths/depth/height of these two machines? They will be used in-line with conveyors. Thanks, Doug
