Just a quick question. Is anybody currently Wave Soldering Crystals on the Bottomside of a PCB? I've always thought that this is taboo. Am I wrong?

Hi Evtimov, For BGA's you place 4 on each side right outside the edge balls and it pulls the case down and a bit is pulled between the balls on reflow. Not tried gluing a crystal (they only gave me a strip to play with)

I dont know what kind of volume you use in crystals, but my company manufactures crystals and oscillators, and if the order is over 1000pcs we'll put it on t/r if that what u request. If we dont have any t/r components in stock, well put them on t/r
