Kris, I gather from your description that the component can not be picked consistently. Meaning that the machine can place the component. How does the component place? Is the placement text book? Take a good look to see if the component isn't being

You can use regular paste and a .005 stencil will help reduce tombstones. It's just that easy. I run 0402's all the time without any problem, just make sure your profile is a good one!

I've had some luck with longer soak. Of course that was on a board with severe thermal mismatches so I don't know if it will help your problem or not.

have you try to change the stencil apertures to another figure like the one that look like a baseball home? I was having that problem and some solder beads and with that I was able to decrease the tombstones

Hi, follow up, Thanks to everyone that responded. We finished the build, the sun burst thru the clouds and the birds sang. Well that was a slight exageration. Sorry for lack of detail on the original post, I was frazzled. Since the 0201's were p

Hi, do you know where and how we can tests 0402 ceramic capacitors? We would like to test them individually before we place them on our board; so as to get some test yield and the distribution of the parameters of this component based on the publish

Hello all, Some background. We have JUKI machines (FX2, KE2000's and KE3000's) We're looking into an issue with 0402's in close proximity to each other. The paste gets mashed into the paste from adjacent parts. Some have suggested I deviate from

Well, it took me a while but I had a look at some gerbers. On a PCB with neighboring 0402's 0.006" apart, and paste reduced 0.75mil on each side, I get lots of bridging. On a later rev of the same PCB, we have neighboring 0402's 0.018" apart, and pa
