have you checked solder resist cure as this will cause the glue to lose adhesion if not cured correctly especially if dwell time sin the wave are excessive i.e 4-5 seconds cheers Greg York

Dear adam Sounds to me like it may not be Salt water contamination or even flux residue's, as both of these are commonly cleaned semi aqueosly or with IPA. Have you considered it may be Talcum powder used as fillers in solder resist, mineral salts

Got to agree with John on this, get a stencil cleaning wipe something a little more potent than standard IPA and wipe the surface thoroughly, this should produce a green residue of solder resist. If this does happen then ask your PCB vendor to look a

Worked with Soltec 6622 with Leaded and Lead Free and is a very capable machine with some good knowledgable engineers to back it all up. Not seen a Nousstar yet in the UK nor a Lead Free Electrovert either thinking about it Greg York Technical Sales

Buy decent solder in the first place especially with Lead free and the savings made could be around 50% of the dross production for Lead Free when compared to Leaded. Buy poor quality solder you will need a solder recovery unit of some format. Cheers

Try to process the composite pallet through the wave without any flux and view volume of smoke and if any residue is deposited in the wave when it exits. My guess is that the pallets are releasing some binders that are high boiling and this in turn c

Are the pallets hot and killing the foam head as they pass over or is the air pressure on the air knife toi high travelling back along the board killing the foam. If these are OK make sure you have sufficient back flow onthe wave and you are draining

I would first check to see what the maximum temperature this operates at I remember seeing my first one on Ebay the other day and it is a small bench mounted machine. You need to ensure the solder bath will operate up to around 260 - 270C. ALL Lead F
