MLC reflow using high temp Sn10Pb90 solder balls

Electronics Forum | Thu Nov 08 10:52:22 EST 2012 | Bryan Ng

I am considering using high-temp ball Sn10Pb90 + eutectic solder paste for MLC reflow (no underfill). You can see that there is no Intermetallic bond for the paste and the balls. Under high stress/shock condition, the solder joints develop micro c

lead frame with high temp tape OK to flux clean??

Hi expert, we have one lead frame product proposed to send to flux clean recently. The problem here is the frame is attached with high temp tape. After flux cleaning the frame, the tape turns out deformed in which we think it was due to chemical reac

Hello Jon (?) Sounds like it's just plain too hot. The Panasonic VA series specifies a maximum preheat temp of 160C for

I agree with Pete, I prefer to use High Temp Lubricant. Because it more clean compare to High Temp Grease. Usually i only do a few drip for 3-5 days, because purpose of lubricant is to make chain & shaft smooth.Since Biral is expensive lubricant i us

I should read this closer before I post it. It should read "Lead" paste not "Led" paste. This is grease for the screw shaft that brings the rails in/out on the reflow oven.

The NMG No Melt is what I currently use. I hadn't thought of replacing it with an oil. Will try it and see how it goes. Thanks for the replies.

Hello all, I am using a led base past on a very thick board. Profiles are 260c in final zone. Currently I am using Biral "NoMelt" grease. This is not good enough for my process. After 1-2 shifts all of the grease is gone. What are you all using?
