Pallet problems

Electronics Forum | Fri May 08 15:12:23 EDT 1998 | Ryan Jennens

I am running boards with gold fingers on a pallet for masking purposes. The pallets worked fine for a while but know the gold fingers are getting solder on them. We have tried everythin: new pallets, cleaning the pallet and board to be sure there

Masking of PWBs prior to conformal coat

First of all, do not use kapton tape! It tends to cause a dewetting effect around the tape. A call to Humiseal will explain why. There's not really a blanket answer to your question.... Removing cured liquid mask can often result in a fillet ef

Flex board pallet

Hi David, we used the following techniques in high volume production, depending on the type of flexi-board: (all were in milled pockets in a durastone pallet) 1) Kapton tape top & bottom 2) Spray mount & samll amount of kapton tape (you only had

I just read an articale that said using metal tape was better then high temp solder.

Re: attaching thermocouples

I have been using aluminum tape to attach thermocouples lately. I got some when I ordered new thermocouples from KIC. I ran some comparisons using high temp solder and the tape, with no difference. You cut a small square of the tape (approx 1/8" s

| | hi, | | i am working towards developing a no-clean process for a customer at contract manufacturing facility. the assemblies have gold fingers on them. these are masked to prevent from any damage to them during reflow soldering. the earlier pr

reflow profile

when taking a reflow profile, can i attach the thermalcouple to the component body (using high temp tape) instead of to the leads (often found thermal couple dettached during reflow). in general, what is the temp diff between these 2 locatinos. if so

High-temperature thermal profiling adhesive

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 09 18:28:34 EST 2004 | Ron W

I'd like to know if anyone could recommend a good high-temperature adhesive that can be used for thermocouple attachment. I've always used high-temp solder and tape in the past, but would like to try using adhesive. Any info is certainly appreciated.
