Boards were not immersion gold. They were HASL but I would like to change. What is the prefered surface fininsh for BGA and fine pitch stuff these days? I am starting to ask for Gold/Nickel on FAB Dwgs due to PCB house and assy house discussions.

Fuji Nozzle, in house repair?

Has anyone had any success in repairing Fuji CP nozzles in house? Removing bent press fitted nozzle and replacing. Any input would be appreciated, please no solicitation from repair shops

It's usually up to the board house. They use their lines to make a variety of other customers boards and never want to be locked into using a special mask. I'd task your QC department to catch and return these boards. That usually straightens out

Solder Balls in Vias

I meant to include this in the original message. One, the solder balls are on the circuit side of PCB. Two, some of the vias on both top and bottom are closed and some are not. Is this a process problem with the board house(s)?
