As part of the evolution, electronic feeder has a lot of advantages - precision, programming and speed. If you build low volume easy boards you can probably stick with the mechanical feeders. For challenge and volume, I would suggest you move on to t

You have some of the 642s still running? This is impressive. I used to have coupe of these 11-12years ago and I used them for exclusively for simple assemblies with passive components bigger size even back then. Even 0402 was challenge for these base

Seen cap cracking before. It can be caused by thermal stress as noted above, but don't discount mechanical stress and handling. Your depanelization method is a strong candidate. We applied strain gages to baords and benchmarked various mechanical

Good morning Steve, What does optimizer say? What is the error generated by optimizer? Could you tell me exact error optimizer gives? Topaz ties to fit all feeders mechanically into the feeder plate when optimization starts. Optimizer generates an

My company uses both Juki electric and mechanical feeders. Yes, electric feeders are much more efficient than mechanical as far as pick speed and general feed speed. However, if a reel runs out, it usually takes our operators under a minute to change
