Sorry i wasnt very clear we already have a Malcolm sps-1 for our tubs but to move over to cartridges we need a machine to do that none of those machines are capable of mixing a 6 oz cartridge

The screwdriver can scrape pieces of the plastic jar off and contaminate the paste if you aren't careful.

I would scrap it. As you said part of it is going to be old paste. All manufacturers don't recommend mixing old with new paste because you change the rheology of the paste.
