What are the non-recurring operating costs of running this machine? How long does it take to program a rework operation, assuming you have CircuitCAM or something like that?

Hello Everyone, I am wondering what you are paying for Nitrogen (N2) in for your re-flow or wave, in $ per m3/hr. Please get back to me so I can determine some long term operational costs. Best regards, Gary Z.

We use a SAWA to clean our stencils and it performs quite well on solder paste but not so great with epoxy. Operators find the machine very easy to use and like mentioned before it takes up minimal space and has a lower intial and operating cost.

The boards are expensive because they are your product... covered in circuitry. A 2% scrap rate costs twice as much as a 1% scrap rate. Say the parts on your consumer electronics board cost $5. A machine that makes 99% good boards and 1% bad boards

The company I work for is installing a SMT prototype line, and I've been asked to determine the cost of operation. I know there will be cost for solder, solder paste, flux, stencils, glue, nitrogen, ect... I just want to make sure I'm not missing any

I'm trying to hammer out the setup and operational costs to add Nitrogen to our SMT reflow process. Anyone have an idea on how much liquid N2 they consume monthly on an Electrovert or Conceptronics reflow oven? Thanks in advance for your help.

@Comatose You answered all my question about the board and operator costs, and I'm getting a good idea of how the numbers look like.

Seho maxi wave 3240 should be considered as well. Invented full tunnel nitrogen systems that have lower operating costs and provide yields unlike what can be achieved by air wave systems.

I purchased three On-Site units a while back to feed two reflow ovens and one wave solder machine. The cost for the lot was approx. $160,000, and flow was approx. 7500 CFH. We were quit pleased wqith the performance and the operating cost. However
