Try making your own out of the IC tubes.. I used to do this all the time when I was using Siemens. Not as good as the metal slides from Siemens but it will work good enough..

Make sure that you have some feature on the part to get orientation check. We tried long time ago and it did work on GSM with 4 spindle. For us, setup the vision system was the challenge for correct rotation using vib feeder.

Hi, One think we always hated when running MYDATA was the vib feeder, and we had no end of problems. The supplier told us most people angled the component tubes up, however then the vib settings change between when the tubes full, and mostly empty.

Although I don't have the same model machine (ours is Samsung CP45FV) our Vib feeder had a "transportation" screw or strap (it was a few years ago) fitted that you need to remove before it vibrates properly. Ours has a on/ off switch on the feeder

Hi All, I have a series of snap-in radial TH capacitors that I would like to place using a pick and place. Has anyone had any success using a universal platform machine? My thought is a custom vib feeder would present the parts just fine. Any feed

If you are using vib. feeders than the component may be flipped length wise by the following components. Components should be landing with the leads on the right side but upside down. If you are using tape feeders the component may be flipped sideway

Yes... I can generally get away with it for all but the low profile stuff such as tssop packages. The plastic tubes are so shallow anyway that once you've used a scalpel to create a pick up window, you've virtually got no side-wall left. Anything b

You could use a bowl and track vib feeder to present them, but picking them up and pushing them far enough into the PCB is going to be tricky as they look almost flush mount. Also you need to consider the reliability of the post plated hole diameter
