Maybe you stencil height measurement is being affected. Check your tactile sensor, it may be sticking due to paste or adhesive getting on it.

The big advantage of frameless is storage space. The big disadvantage is getting the stencil tight (and cuts on operators). pr

This is why I disqualified frameless stencils. All that I have seen do not seem to be tight enough. Introducing 1 more variable into screen printing did not seem like a good idea. Jerry

It depends on how much paste you put on the pads. Assuming your stencil is 1:1 to the pad and the solderability protection on the board is something other than HASL, we'd guess that your solder height is approximately 50% of your stencil thickness,

Here's an easy one. Make a camera that looks up at the board a non-mirror image. You could keep the mirror image toward the stencil since stencils rarely have any legend on em.

UTZ Engineering West Coast Div.is located near San Diego. they make good chemical etched stencil and turn around is very good. Hope this helps. Could not remember the city but you could find them in the directory easy. Regards,
