Hi, In our shop we've always baked out PCBs and moisture sensitive parts prior to electronic assembly using a gentle ramp rate of 2 degC/minutes going hot (93degC) and same ramp rate going cold (back to room temp). We're trying to outsource that pro

Paste w/ 2% silver has a eutectic temp of 179deg.C vs. 183deg.C for std. 63/37. The 2% can give better wetting in some applications.

What is an acceptable mismatch for smt components and pcb. We are having cracked solder joints from fatigue after repeated thermal cycling 25 deg. c to 125 deg.c.

Data sheet allows of 250 DegC peak temperature and we are using below 240 DegC but still seeing high fal out. Manufacturer diagnose as BE charges loss due to heat. Hence, looking for anything extra could be done to minimize this defect. There is no w

We have an internal debate whether to calibrate equipment using K-type thermocouple made out of : 1) fibreglass braided, with a 482 deg-C peak-measurement properties? 2) teflon FEP(fluorinated Ethylene Proplene), with 204 deg-C peak-measurement p

Hi mates, does anyone know if there is a industrial standard spec for environment(deg-C, RH%) operational use of Paste Printer machines? If there is no study to define a deg-C, RH% specs for immediate environemnt operation use of a paste printer ma

Extra cooling is better (Alpha recommends -3 to -7 degC/sec) for cosmetics. Less chance of s o called 'cooling lines' that look similar to 'cold' tin-lead joints. (Seems a bit steep to me - I worry about the risk of cracking ceramic caps.) Might be
