If the PCB is thin, is it possible that the board is warping slightly during the curing process?

The problem is IPC spec. calls for 7 mils/inch but my equipment spec. calls for Warpage as 40 mils.Our Equipment folks saying if a board warps more than 40 mils ,there will be placement issue.

I have some 13" long boards that warp considerably during first pass through reflow (no center support), what I've done to improve this type of warpage is stiffeners along the front and back edge. This may help with twisted boards as well.

The newer MPMs use the camera to find the board edge - no mechanical stops like AP and DEKs.
