We had this same problem several years ago. The caps and resistors were cracking when we snapped the boards apart. We now use a pizza cutter style depanelizer. A couple of manufacturers that I know of are CAB and Fancort. I hope this helps.

We use standard "pizza cutter" type depanelizer. You just need to use knives made for aluminum boards, because standard ones gets dull quite fast if used on aluminum. CAB has special knives for aluminum, but I think other manufacturers offers simila

| Looking for a manual machine to de-panel with the panels held by 60mm tabs. Each panel hold multi-boards consisting of different shapes and sizes. Scoring is apparently not an option and volume does not dictate a large scale machine. | Try CAB T

| I was at the Southcon show in Orlando and saw a PCB depanelization machine which was basically a rotary saw which cut through the scoring on the panel. I don't remember the name of the company though so I can't get any info on this. Does anyone k

If you are physically breaking the boards apart and not using a depanelizer you will always have this problem. I have a machine shop that can make you one for about $3,000.00. You can buy one for around $5K new. Cab,FKN and some others make them. Be

Being that is budgeting season I am interested in specifying more depaneling equipment but with an eye towards quality / realiability. We use routing for COB assemblies but have spec'd the Cab 4M for everything else. However, I came across a Frost

If you have jobs where you can not, there is a company in Japan that makes the best v-groove depanelers called TST, 'guru's in v-groove depanelising'. Their systems can be supplied to reduce stress on cutting to near zero compared to CAB and other lo
